It’s Not Too Early to Start

It’s not too early to start dreaming of spring. Especially with the weather dipping into the single digits. Brrrr!

This Saturday, if you have some spare time and some spare seeds, consider dropping by the Seed Savers Exchange. There is no cost for this event and it is a great place to meet fellow gardening and farming enthusiasts, learn more about probiotics, collect some sourdough starters and more.

Here are the details:

The Seed Exchange will include seeds, bulbs, oils, tinctures, fermented drinks, fermented foods, fresh eggs and local merchants selling their products. All participants will sign in with contact info at the sign in table, there is a suggested $2.00 or more donation. Seeds need to be deposited at the different table locations for distribution. Please prepackage your seeds to trade in individual envelops or bags w/ their common and scientific name. If seeds are brought in bulk please have empty envelopes available if possible. We will have some available for sale. As before we will have a drawing every 15 minutes to giveaway generously donated merchandise and services from local merchants. Let all your gardening friends know about this fun event.

Location: Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City-Country Club Plaza, 4600 Summit St, Kansas City, MO 64112, United States

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, 1/16.

It will be a busy day for us – music class and Scouts Day for the little one, but I do plan on coming by and bringing some seeds to trade. Hope to see you there!
